Prepare for the Return of Jesus

This blog site is dedicated almost exclusively to heralding the return of Messiah Jesus for His Bride. A few posts have been on other topics, but the mandate for this site is to encourage, awaken, and educate readers on the soon return of Jesus. I apologize that there will not be a part 2 blog on Bigfoot. There is just too much speculation on that subject, too much weirdness, and is too close to the fringe for me to give it blog space. Sorry Bigfoot fans. But he is still the ultimate hide-and-seek winner.

We are at the door of the Fall Feasts of the Lord, and this season is unlike any I have ever experienced. Every year for the past 18 years, my husband and I pay attention as we enter the fall feasts - not Thanksgiving (which I love) - but the Feasts of the Lord: Yom Teru'ah (Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Sukkot (Tabernacles). All seven feasts prophetically symbolize Messiah Jesus's First and Second coming. They are rehearsals that God orchestrated so the Jewish people (and eventually the gentile nations) would know the plan of God established before the foundation of the world. Jesus our Messiah was coming to take away the sins of the world through His death (Passover), burial (Unleavened Bread), resurrection (First Fruits), giving us the Holy Spirit (Pentecost), return for His Bride (Yom Teru'ah/Rosh Hashanah), return to rule and reign as conquering King (Day of Atonement), and His thousand year reign on earth (Tabernacles).

The problem is that celebrations over time often become tradition, tradition becomes custom, and custom becomes common. The true meaning and sacredness of the day is diluted. The Lord expresses this strongly in Isaiah chapter one, where He actually says He hates their New Moons and appointed feasts because the people are living in sin with hands full of blood. (2 NKJV Isaiah 1:13-17) Those who are not Jewish and didn't grow up celebrating Passover or any other Jewish festival are especially ignorant when it comes to what the Lord says are His feasts. Try doing Passover for the first time just using a manual or nowadays YouTube. It isn't easy and takes a significant amount of preparation. Thankfully, God looks at our hearts. Here is what He really wants us to do:
“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil,
17 Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke [i]the oppressor;
[j]Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow." Isaiah 1:16-17 (NKJV)
This is what the Lord wants from us all the time, especially during the sacred seasons. The Holy Spirit says in Hebrews 10:23-25:
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." (NKJV)
What day is He referencing? The Day the Lord returns for us. We are to hold fast to our faith, remember the Lord is faithful, stir one another up to love and good works, remember to gather together, and encourage one another as we see the coming of Jesus is near. How do we know His coming is near? Because we know the times, seasons, and feast days.

GALILEAN WEDDING
My favorite passage in the entire Bible is John 14: 1-4:
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”(NKJV)
These beautiful passages are likely references to the ancient Galilean wedding ceremony that would have been familiar to most of Jesus's disciples. The Galilean wedding ceremony is a picture of the parable of the ten virgins - from the public betrothal, the cup of wine that was shared, the gifts given to the bride, and the unspecified time when the actual wedding ceremony would start.
Interestingly, in the Galilean wedding, only the Father knew when he was going to tell his son to get his bride. Once we understand the cultural idioms and veiled references, we get a better understanding of what Jesus means in certain parables and statements. For a detailed commentary on the ancient Galilean wedding, please see the article entitled "From Cana to the Coming Glory: A Prophetic Picture of the Rapture". AN IMMINENT RAPTURE
Many of us grew up thinking that it was a sin to discuss, study, or even think about when Jesus will come and get us. Speculating when Jesus will return became synonymous with the unforgivable sin, and so many would-be prophetic scholars gave up and concluded that Jesus did not want us to know the time of His appearing. It is my opinion, and I have heard solid Bible teachers teach, that when Jesus told His disciples it was not for them to know when He would come and restore the Kingdom on earth, it was because it was so far in the future it was not for them to be concerned about, Their job, and many successive generations' jobs, were to spread the gospel. (Acts 1:7, NKJV) The end-time books, described in the book of Daniel, were not yet opened. (Daniel 12:9, NKJV) In 2025, I think revelation is increasing, and those enigmatic books are finally opening and read from the hearts of the five-fold ministry.

I imagine many people have been saved and live holy lives because of the belief Jesus could come at any moment. This is part of living ready for heaven at any time. Honestly, reminding our kids, "Do you want to be caught doing that when Jesus comes?" is a practical wake-up call. How many of us have come home to an empty house and walked around calling for someone, and when they don't answer, we think we've been left behind? It's made for some good movies and family pranks. But the truth is, living every day in our prophetic wedding clothes is a difficult thing. It requires constant repentance, self-reflection, and humility. Following Jesus is not easy; as He suffered, we will also suffer. But the wonderful thing is that we have the Holy Spirit to help us in every aspect of life and see us victoriously to the finish line.

WHAT SHOULD BE OUR RESPONSE?
The most important thing for all of us to do right now is to get ready for the return of Jesus. Not His Second Coming, but His return for His Bride. Those of us who choose freely to put our faith in Jesus, and love and obey Him. You have an invitation now to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and enjoy heaven forever. When the Rapture happens, you will never die and will escape from the worst period of time that has ever occurred in history. Jesus said it would be the worst time that has ever been. (Mathew 24:21, NKJV) And Jesus does not exaggerate. And truthfully, death is more imminent than the Rapture.
If you are reading this blog, then today is the day of salvation. Do not wait. The most important decision you will make in your life is where you will spend eternity. It is simple. Call on the name of Jesus in sincerity, and He will save you from hell. He will instantly come into your heart and make you His child. Then ask Him to baptize you in the Holy Spirit and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:38, Acts 4:31, Acts 19:6). He is waiting! The second you make one motion towards Him, He comes running. He will wash you clean from all of your mistakes and sins no matter what you've done. The blood of Jesus is the most powerful substance in the universe.

If you are already a born-again Christian, be a wise virgin. Be filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit and burn bright for Jesus. Repent of all of your sins, forgive and ask for forgiveness from anyone you have hurt or hurt you. Make reading your Bible more important than the food you eat. Be an active member in your local (solid, Bible-believing) church and love the Body of Christ. Do not mock or scoff those who are watching for Jesus to come even if you personally have a different belief. Remember the warning of the Holy Spirit in 2 Peter 3:3-4 :
"...knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” (NKJV)
Jesus is coming. He will come for us. That is His promise, and
He is faithful and True.
"Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown..."
13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’
Revelation 3:10-13 (NKJV)
